  3. Map – this is where you will be able to place your map markers that you are creating or be able to edit the map markers already created.
  4. Marker Details – this is where you can add certain details about a certain map marker such as the name, location (Lat/Long Coordinates), any notes, the type, etc.

Creating a Map Marker

To create a map marker, select the +Add Marker button on the right. A red map indicator will pop up on the map.

You will be able to click on the red indicator and drag it to the location you see fit. You will notice as you drag the indicator, the co-ordinates will reflect the location. So if you know the exact latitude and longitude of a hydrant you will be able to get the exact location according to the co-ordinates.

Once you have chosen the location for your map marker, begin filling in the details:

You will be able to name the marker, select the type of marker, add notes and have it reflected on the TV view. Once you are happy with the information, select the active box and hit Save.

When selecting the marker type, the Hydrant markers will allow you to provided more information such as Gallons per minute, pressure, date of last inspection, etc:

Mass Uploading of Map Markers

If you would like to upload multiple map markers, please fill out an excel spreadsheet with the map marker name, the type of map marker (i.e., red hydrant) and the latitude and longitude.

Send the spreadsheet to support@fluentims.com and let us know that you would like these Markers uploaded to your system.

Editing Map Markers

To Edit a Marker, simply select the marker you would like to edit and it will begin to bounce on the map. From there, you will be able to click and drag it to re-position it or simply change the details on the right of the screen in the Marker Details section.

Once all the details have been edited, select Save.

Another way to edit a Map Marker is to head to the List View:

Here you can search for the map marker you wish to edit then select the blue pencil.

Once you select the blue pencil, the Marker Details section will activate for that Marker where you can then make the necessary changes.

Deleting Map Markers

There are two ways to delete Map Markers:

  1. In the Map View, select the Marker you wish to delete. The Marker Details section will activate just like it does for editing Markers. Scroll down to the bottom of the Details section and select the Delete button:

  1. The system will ask for confirmation, select OK.

       2. In the List View, find the Marker you wish to delete and select the trash can button associated to it:

  1. Again, the system will ask for confirmation, select OK.
