Manage TVs

IMPORTANT: Who’s Responding is operating and fully supporting Version 2 of the TV View. Be sure you have imported the correct PIN(S) to your Smart TV.

Editing TV Views

During the initial setup, the TV View will be setup based on the Station Names and Addresses initially submitted on your Who's Responding Setup Template. However, if you wish to edit any settings on the TV Views, head to the Manage TVs section in the Web-Based Control Panel.

  1. Assign the location and give the TV View a name to distinguish it from others if you have multiple stations/locations.
  2. Map transition Interval – you can edit the amount of time each interval on the TV view displays for. For example, responders view, street view, satellite view, incident view.
  3. Zoom options – you will be able to edit the display of the responder view and incident view as it is displayed on the TV view during an incident. You can zoom in or out depending on how large your area is in order to capture all of your responders on the TV while they are responding.
  4. Message lengths – you can edit the amount of characters displayed on the TV view during an incident by moving the sliders.
  5. Map Marker display – you can choose to have your map markers and water sources displayed by ensuring the blue checkmark is highlighted for these options.
  6. Member Visibility – down on the bottom of the TV View, there is the list of members you are either unavailable, available or on duty. By default, the TV view highlights those members that have set their status as unavailable to give officers more information as the available resources that they have, should an emergency situation occur.
  7. Display Settings – by default the TV View will cycle through Street and Satellite View along with the navigation for the incident. You will be able to edit what view is displayed on the TV during an incident by clicking on the blue check mark for the option so that the check is no longer showing.
  8. Device Pin – should your TV lose connection with the TV view, you will be able to access the TV domain from here.
