If creating
a permit for a resident who is applying and paying in person (“Walk-Ins”):
- Create
the account and permit on the Web-Based
Control Panel. This will ensure that there is One account/permit holder.
- DO NOT create permits for residents through
the public website using the same login information/email address every time
(“Master Login/Account”). This will create multiple permits under one account
and the system WILL NOT activate
their permit/register their burn when they go to call in.
Application
Process on the Admin Side:
For a NEW
USER – Steps 1-12
For a RETURNING
USER – Steps 1-2, 7-12 – the only difference is instead of the Create
Permit window automatically popping up – you can select the Create Permit Button either on
the Browse Permits Page or the Manage Accounts Page and proceed
through the steps:
1. When
logged into the Web-Based Control Panel and in the Burn Permits Module:
2. Find the manage accounts on the right
hand side:
3. Select Create Account:
4. Fill in Personal Information and whether they are renting or own their property:
5. Select Add Address:
The Address Pop-up window will open. Enter the Address details, determine that the resident either Owns or Rents the property and select Find Coordinates. You can adjust the marker for them and Select Save:
6. Add in Login Details and Notification Method then select Save:
7. Once you select Save, the Create Permit window will pop up where you can search for the new user/account:
8. Once you select the user, you can select the appropriate information for the permit.
Select the type of permit they wish to obtain. The terms and conditions will pop up for the corresponding permit type:
9. You can then have them read the terms and conditions and signify that they agree to the T&Cs and the I Agree statements
Hitting the circled button will quickly "check" that they agree to the T&Cs and the I Agree statements:
10. The Open Burn Address(es) section will appear under the I Agree Statements:
Now, the Administrator can select which address (or addresses) to associate to the permit. If the permit type restricts the permit to a single address, once the address is selected, all of the other address panels will 'grey' out so they cannot be added.
On the other hand, if the permit type allows for multiple addresses, the Administrator can select up to the permit limit, like the photo above. Once the address limit has been reached, the Administrator is notified.
11. You can double check their
notification method, add your approver signature (if not already uploaded) and
have the resident either sign their name or have select the auto-signature
button:
12. Next, you can select the payment method and the approval status of the permit:
13. Finally, to finish the application, select the approval status:
