Zones: Creating Restricted/Approved Zones

All Zones:
- View All Zone – this tab is the default for this page.
- It shows what the Address Confirmation section of the
application process looks like. Giving your residents a good idea of what is an
approved and restricted zone.
- Filters – you can filter by zone what you would like to see while you are editing.
- Display of Zones – overview of the zones that are
displayed on the public website.
- You can also quickly edit either zone by selecting
border of that zone.
- Public Site Settings
- You can adjust the Zone’s border width and the Zone’s
Opacity as displayed on the public website.
Creating
Restricted Zones:

To Create a Restricted Zone:
- Select the
Restricted Zones tab;
- Select the
Pacman-looking hexagon;
- Click and
draw your restricted zone around the location(s) you wish to have restricted;
- Once the
shape is complete (fully connected), give it a name;
- Select
“Display on Public Website” if you wish to have it appear in the Address
Confirmation page of the application;
- Prohibit
All?
- If you wish
to have all permits prohibited in that zone, select Prohibit All. This will by
default be selected for you.
- If you wish
to only restrict certain permit types, unselect the Prohibit All option and select
the permit type(s) that you wish to have restrict in the zone.
- Save.
Creating Approved Zones:

To Create an Approved Zone:
- Select the
Approved Zones tab;
- Select the
Pacman-looking hexagon;
- Click and
draw your approved zones or a zone that mimics your township boundaries.
- By default,
as part of the initial setup, your township/municipal boundaries will be
uploaded for you;
- Once the
shape is complete (fully connected), give it a name;
- Allow All?
- Very
similar to the restricted zones and the prohibit all option.
- You have
the choice to only allow certain permit types if you choose;
- Save.
